How today’s rate sets our jewellery prices

Every piece is priced from this page, live. Same formula for a ring or a necklace — and nothing hidden at checkout:

1 · MetalWeight in grams × today’s rate for the karat you choose: 18K, 22K or 925 silver, plus 5% (18K) or 7% (22K) for gold lost in making.
2 · MakingA fixed charge for the craftsmanship. Simple pieces cost less to make than detailed ones.
3 · StoneThe natural gemstone, priced by carat and shown separately.
4 · Margin & shippingOne fixed amount, not a percentage — a heavier piece never means a bigger margin.

Understanding gold purity: 24K to 14K

Karat is the share of pure gold in the alloy: 24 parts is pure. The lower the karat, the harder the metal — and the lower the price per gram.

Why the UAE quotes gold per gram

Dubai’s gold market prices by the gram and quotes each karat separately — the number in a Deira shop window is the 22K or 24K rate per gram in dirhams. World markets quote the troy ounce in US dollars; because the dirham is pegged to the dollar, the two move together. The World Gold Council publishes the reference prices most traders watch.

3 tips for buying gold in the UAE

01

Check the rate first

The rate moves through the day with the world market. Compare the per-gram number, not the total.

02

Look at the making charge

The metal price is the same everywhere; the making charge is where shops differ. Ours is on every product page.

03

Keep a proper receipt

Weight in grams, karat, the day’s rate and the making charge, each separately — for resale, exchange or insurance.

Common questions

Is the gold rate the same across the UAE?

The spot price is the same everywhere; what differs is the small premium each shop adds and the making charge. Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Sharjah retailers quote the same base rate per gram and compete on making charges.

How often is this page updated?

The cards refresh every two minutes from the international spot price while the page is open, converted at the dirham’s fixed peg of 3.6725 to the US dollar. Our jewellery prices are re-calculated from the same source every morning.

How does the gold rate change your jewellery prices?

Every gold or silver piece is priced live: metal weight × today’s rate for its karat, plus a fixed making charge, the stone, and our margin. When gold moves, prices on the site move with it the same morning.

Which karat should I choose for daily wear?

18K is harder and holds stones better, so it suits rings and bracelets you wear every day. 22K and 21K are softer and richer in colour — for necklaces, earrings and occasion pieces.

What is the difference between 999 and 925 silver?

999 is pure silver, too soft for most jewellery. 925 — sterling — is 92.5% silver alloyed for strength, and is what our silver pieces are made from.

Do you sell gold bars or coins?

No. We sell natural gemstones and handcrafted jewellery. The rates are published so you can check exactly how our jewellery is priced.

Rates are the international spot price converted at the UAE dirham’s fixed peg (AED 3.6725 = USD 1) plus the usual Dubai market premium, rounded to 0.25 AED the way the rate boards do — published for information and to make our pricing transparent. Shops add making charges and VAT where applicable; this is not investment advice.
